But for 200 dollars, this scope gets the job done exceptionally well. With most things in life, you get what you pay for. But in this case, you get a heck of a lot more.

Some of the cons:

  • For views of the brighter deep space objects like galaxies and nebulae, we recommend you purchase a more expensive telescope.

There are over 80 customer reviews and the average rating is 4 out of 5. For a hundred bucks, this is the best telescope investment you can make. If you want a telescope that's capable of seeing more of the universe (particularly objects outside of the milky way galaxy), then you'll need to buy a more expensive product.

  • Tracking system makes some noise

Customer feedback:

There are over 20 customer reviews and the average rating is 3.8 out of 5. The only complaints seem to be about NexStar customer service. I've been in a situation where I had to contact NexStar about this telescope. It took them about a week to respond. So while it can be an inconvenience, I wouldn't let below average customer service stop me from buying this telescope. It really performs exceptionally, and is quite affordable considering its capabilities. This is one of the nicest telescopes you can purchase for your own personal viewing.
